Michael F Jones

Mike represents individuals and local, national and multinational businesses and financial institutions in zoning and development, construction, financing, leasing, and purchase and sale of real estate (including office, commercial, industrial, multi-family and resort properties), related governmental relations, and general corporate and commercial law matters. Financing matters include unsecured, secured, tax increment and securitized facilities.

He has published extensively and served as chairman of the Real Property Section of the Utah State Bar. Mike graduated in 1970 from Middlebury College and in 1973 from University of Chicago Law School.

Mike practiced law in Chicago from 1973 to 1981, and has practiced law in Salt Lake City from 1981 to the present. He served from 1993 to 2008 as a member of the Board of Adjustment of Salt Lake City, and as its Chairman starting in 2001. He has been a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers since 1984, and of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys since 2008.
